This conversation could be hours long…🤟🏼Follow up to previous terminology reel where I explained meaning and a little bit of history behind d/Deaf, hard of hearing, hearing impaired etc. Some people use the definitions and boundaries hard and fast while others use it loosely. I say to each their own - how you label yourself is YOUR right, YOUR business and YOUR preference. Many families and parents use what feels most comfortable and as their DHH child grows up - they give them the freedom to choose.
