This five-episode YouTube series unfolds the nearly 50-year history of the Mizzou Hockey program.
The first episode of Tiger Ice Tales tells the story behind Columbia's first-ever and only ice rink, the founding of the Mizzou Hockey program in 1975, and the team's culture on and off the ice. It also explores the life-long friendships that Mizzou Hockey provided the pioneers of the organization and the city of Columbia's reaction to the introduction of hockey. Lastly, it unfolds the reasoning behind the closing of Ice Chalet in 1980 and the frustration of an iceless Columbia today.
