This five-episode YouTube series unfolds the nearly 50-year history of the Mizzou Hockey program. The second episode of Tiger Ice Tales reveals the story behind the program's rebirth following the closure of Columbia's first-ever and only ice rink in 1980. The episode explores how several former players discovered the Washington Park Ice Arena in Jefferson City, Missouri, where the program still competes today, and how the alumni became friends through a similar passion –– playing hockey. It also explores the obstacles the program faced in the early days in Jefferson City, including unsafe conditions and the gradual changes of the rink over the past decades.
