This video makes us so emotional 😢 as parents, you want the best for your children but we don’t often talk about what the kids want for their parents. This was her first time getting her makeup done and she was terrified. She was so afraid that it was going to make her look older or just not be cute. Not to mention, it was the first time in 10-15 years that she got a protective style. But we encouraged her to try and step out of her comfort zone. And we are so glad she did! When she walked to the mirror and saw herself for the first time she got so emotional. For the very first time in her life she looked at herself and thought she was beautiful. It was an emotional moment for us too because we always saw her beauty but the lesson was it’s not about what we see in others but what the person sees in themselves.
