Yes!! #NEVERWORNS has launched a special #ALWAYSWORNS *LIVE* from Nike WHQ in…Oregon! I was FASCINATED by their sports bras…I remember soccer player Brandi Chastain swinging her shirt over her head when she kicked that winning goal. Fun fact: At the time, this was a scandal and the media believed it was a marketing ploy by Nike. Anyways, because I was born yesterday I didn’t realize sports bras are actually relatively new. The first one appeared in 1977, which were two fused jockstraps. Before that, women were DIY’ing their sports bras, whether it was wearing their lingerie out or doubling up. Here, we trace the evolution of sports bras from the 80s to today and showcase how Nike has innovated to revolutionize them in order to get women get into sport.
