In honor of Save The Elephant Day, here’s a sneak peak of our Bees For Elephants project, an initiative where we are literally protecting elephants. Elephants are a key contributor in maintaining ecosystems and rich biodiversity across Africa and Asia. In places like Tanzania, Africa, Butterfly Pavilion is actively working with other organizations and community members to not only protect elephants but the people who live around them. Bees for Elephants uses Elephants’ innate fear of bees to discourage them from entering human areas and therefore decreasing human-elephant conflicts.
