A few weeks ago we received honorary doctorates from the University of Calgary. It was an incredibly profound experience for us. Though we didn’t follow the traditional path of university, it was exceptionally meaningful to be honored in this way in our hometown. As musicians, we’ve always viewed our career and adult life as an educational journey, constantly learning and growing. We feel so lucky to have taken the path we did but being recognized in front of our family and friends, alongside the brilliant graduates that day was genuinely special and humbling.
