In 2018, a strategic acquirer looked at my business (with ~1.75M in EBITDA) and told me it was worth $0.
“UNEXITABLE” was the term they used.
And they were completely right.
We had to change what we focused on in order to sell that same business for $26M four years later.
Building the brands instead of just adding new products.
Showing the business could operate and grow without the ownership group jimmy rigging everything.
And owning the real estate when we could.
