Let’s start at the beginning... I was born on a cold winter day in 1962... Okay so, skipping a few years... I always made art. Yes, drawing and painting, but I consider any form of creative making to be art. From a young age I would draw things from my imagination. Those pictures were art, but they were also plans for things that I wanted to build.
I was mostly a vocational student in high school. Metal shop, wood shop, art, yearbook staff, photography, and graphic art (we had an old printing press at school). I have a BFA degree (CCS in Detroit) majoring in commercial art and photography. I feel very fortunate to say that I’ve been a professional commercial artist my whole career.
