MEET TONIGHT'S HONORARY CAPTAINS! With the OG who start it all... Jeremy Jennings (Class of 2017). Spread the Word at that time had been happening for 5 or more years when Jeremy had the idea to partner with his Best Buddy and bring them on the field as honorary captains for the Spread the Word game. Jeremy was Captain of the team, playing corner, running back, and receiver. He was also an All-American track runner placing 4th at Nationals in the 60-meter dash. He went to Temple and played football for the Owls, and participated in various community service activities with Team Impact, a mentoring program for youth. When Jeremy looks back at his career, he highlights the Spread the Word game and his Best Buddies. as a key part of his educational and athletic success.
