In March of 2020, literally the most unexpected time, welcomemattv emailed me saying that with production stopping because of the pandemic they had time to go through submissions and read my letter to the Jim Henson Company. He asked if I’d be wiling to learn Muppet style puppetry. I learned. I worked. I cried. Then I worked some more. In 2021, I became the first black woman puppeteer on Sesame Street. My circumstances seemed impossible in 2020 - learning a physical profession virtually, being pregnant during a worldwide pandemic.
