It’s going to be an epic year of adventures!! I got the best birthday present yesterday: a permit to hike the 90-mile Wonderland Trail in Washington State in the fall. It’s gonna be a busy year of hiking and travel for me! I had initially been eyeing the Pacific Crest Trail this year, but it just didn’t feel like the right time for various reasons, including a strong desire to keep my job. 😜 So instead, I’m planning lots of smaller adventures, and I could not be more excited about what’s on the docket for this year. My backpacking season will kick off with a thru-hike of the Trans-Catalina Trail and Art Loeb Trail in spring, followed by a few Colorado weekend adventures, a thru-hike of the John Muir Trail in summer, the Wonderland Trail in fall, and hopefully an international trip near the end of the year.
