I used to run a 5K Turkey Trot every year back home. It was a tradition that my brother, Andy, started and I loved to hate. I agreed to it every year because I couldn’t handle him going without me and me feeling lazy the rest of Thanksgiving Day. But I hated having to roll out of bed at 7 am on my day off to drive 40 minutes to jog through snow and ice and freezing temperatures. Every single year I would join him for that dang Turkey Trot, and every single year I would complain endlessly about it. 😂 But since Andy stopped running (he had children and also got an injury lol) and I don’t usually go home for Thanksgiving since I’m much farther away now in Colorado, I finally found the peace to stop Turkey trotting on Thanksgiving and just go hiking, which i much prefer, instead. 😂 Thanks for inviting me out this morning, ettran28!
