Mechanical watchmaking often blurs the line between art and science, a concept that was well understood by the esteemed Dr. George Daniels. The Millennium stands as his penultimate creation, housing the first great achievement in mechanical watchmaking in a century: the Co-Axial escapement. With less than 50 produced, the extreme scarcity and incredible workmanship of this watch places it in an extremely small camp of historic watchmaking. It's fair to say that Daniels' attempt to improve the longevity of the mechanical watch movement produced a 20th-century horological icon. This watch was made in 1999 and is one of only 47 yellow gold examples ever produced.
