The reference 6263 exemplifies the evolution of the Rolex Daytona. Introduced in 1969, this ref retained the classic acrylic tachymeter bezel inset originally seen on ref 6241. It's enhanced with screw-down waterproof pushers and crown as opposed to the earlier pump chronograph pushers also found on ref 6239 & 6241. This example from our upcoming Important Watches sale in Hong Kong represents one of the later beauties from the collection. One distinctive feature is the red "DAYTONA" in the middle of the dial, which is comparably larger than other Daytonas with red text, gaining it the nickname "Big Red" among collectors.
