Today is Palm Sunday, which ushers in the beginning of Holy Week. We use palms to commemorate Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem as recounted in today’s Gospel: “Many people spread their cloaks on the road, and others spread leafy branches that they had cut from the fields” (Mark 11:8). Even though we are close to Good Friday, we should rejoice in the God who, by His death and Resurrection, sets us free from sin.
