My experience datzdeli190 was just as real as the cnbcmakeit special but even better because I actually had the food and met the family! This family-owned Guyanese Deli that has my taste budz in a choke hold with their viral oxtail Mac patty. I had the pleasure of meeting the whole family who welcomed me with open arms. Josh, one of the owners, treated me to three mouthwatering Mac patties - oxtail, jerk chicken, and veggie. Each bite was pure bliss, Butterfly bread wrapped around the beefpatty, Caribbean flavored spiced Mac n cheese, oxtails stacked from the front to the back. Lastly coated with a respectable pour of oxtail gravy over the beloved patty to silence any bland and or dry comments. The jerk chicken flew back home with me on Alaskan airlines, I just couldn’t return without one it was my favorite dish. Feeling so grateful to have been embraced as part of their family for the day.
