To foster contextualised research as shared resources, T:>Works invited Rebecca G to attend the 2023 edition of Per°Form Open Academy of Arts and Activations as an essayist to articulate their perspective on the proceedings.
In this first essay of three, Rebecca writes about the iconic “º” in “PerºForm”. A purely aesthetic choice initially, Rebecca takes a closer look at the symbol, revealing its presence in various disciplines, and how that multiplicity reflected the overall ethos of the Open Academy as a porous gathering of epistemologies from Global South perspectives.
