🔅Virginity is a construct created because of the commodification of women. 🔅Sexual purity became important across many cultures because a woman’s virginity was the most important part about her. Not only is it sexist, but it is heteronormative and erases trans and queer folks. 🔅the patriarchy commodifies our virginity, and shamed us whether we loose it or not. It is PROBLEMATIC because it upholds sexist attitudes, forcing sexuality to exist in a small box which erases the experience of woman, and queer people. 🔅Your value never has and never will be determined by your sexual status, whether you have lots of sexual interaction, or none. 🔅 You are loved and valued.
