A new study published this week by researchers from the University of California at Berkeley and the University of California at San Francisco found that after less than one week of eating organic food, toxin levels in the body dramatically decreased.
Researchers examined four families from different backgrounds who ate a conventional diet for 6 days, followed by an organic diet for another 6 days. By testing their urine samples before and after going organic researchers found huge drops in pesticide levels. Pesticides have been linked to cancer, hormonal imbalances, and neurological disorders. After 6 days on the all organic diet, overall pesticide amounts dropped 60.5% in both adults and children.
