In anticipation of the March for Life on Friday, January 19th, the Clemson College Republicans tabled to inform the student body about the atrocity that is abortion. Over 65 million babies have been deprived of the chance of life since Roe v. Wade in 1973. The monumental overturning of Roe v. Wade ushered in pro-life legislation in several U.S. states, including South Carolina. However, abortions are still performed nationwide and in this state. While many states may have bans on abortion up to a certain time frame, there are still “businesses” that conduct these heinous procedures. A notable example is the Greenville Women’s Clinic, which performs a number of abortions to this day that take innocent lives. Pro-lifers nationwide need to continue pushing their legislators to enact policies that prevent this from happening. Babies deserve a future, and the battle to protect them still persists.
