Sriram has spent the past 3 years studying with the #5 nationally ranked Aerospace Engineering program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign illinois1876 aeatillinois. We were understandably ecstatic to bring him on as a Systems Engineer Intern this summer. He was quickly impressed by Shield AI’s state-of-the art autonomy tech that sets the company apart from the crowd. “I’ve worked with several other drones before, but none of them were this smart.” Consistent with this realization, Sriram has spent the summer automating data analysis processes for our Nova 2 UAS. While Sriram brings over some highly valuable experience in the industry from his previous internship at Aerovironment, his project has been a welcome challenge. “People here are really passionate about their work – they don’t mind taking 10 minutes from their day to sit down and talk through questions and issues that arise.” As far as relocation goes, spending the summer in San Diego certainly has its perks. ...
