Running at altitude isn’t just about reaching new heights, it’s about shocking your body into working in tougher conditions🏔️🏃♂️ There is less oxygen up here which means your body has to adapt to become more efficient at red blood cell production and delivering oxygen to muscles. Now Potch isn’t all that high but I am also gaining the benefits of heat training 🥵☀️The high temps should conditioning my body to perform when the going gets tough. Embracing the heat enhances endurance, cardiovascular efficiency and boosts sweat response. In theory this should mean that it’s easier when I return down to the tepid temperatures of a sea level Battersea Park 🤩🙏🏼
