I’m going (back) to Sundance! 🖤 Soooo excited to be heading off to Park City in a few days as a Juror for the Sundance Film Festival Shorts program! My first short film BUGCRUSH won the Jury prize at Sundance when it premiered there back in 2006 - and it doesn’t seem like that long ago I was roaming around Park City handing out little homemade BUGCRUSH buttons and nervously awaiting our screenings. Trying to figure out what exactly I was supposed to be doing while I was there. It was the first time I’d ever even BEEN to a film festival. 🎞 I thought I’d made a movie that only a few dark and artsy freakish types (like me:) would like.... but after BUGCRUSH played, I would hang around outside the theater - anxious to talk to any and everyone about my film. I was shocked at who approached me to say how much it affected them. Middle aged women. Straight teenagers. Hipsters.
