One of my favorite frames of SUCKER - an all_the_dead_boys short I made for the October 31st launch of thepostherofficial. ✖️ I’ve always worked with a DP when I’ve done film projects - and loved the luxury of handing the camera off to someone else so I could focus more fully on what was happening in the frame. On SUCKER the crew was exactly 4 people - and I was not only the director - but also the cinematographer, the gaffer, the grip, the writer, the producer and the special effects makeup artist. Funny thing was that I actually really enjoyed doing it all myself. Stressful? Yes - but also incredibly liberating. ✖️ There’s something really special about working this lean - and I’m excited to do it again ASAP!
