Barcelona native Sílvia Casacuberta Puig is a joint concentrator in mathematics and computer science, with a concurrent master’s in computer science. A violinist, she plays in the Harvard Baroque Orchestra, Mozart Society Orchestra, and the Harvard College Opera.
“I never considered it an actual possibility," she said of being named an International Rhodes Scholar. "Statistically, it just seemed absolutely impossible.”
In the fall at Oxford, Sílvia hopes to continue her studies in theoretical computer science, a discipline at the intersection of math and computer science.
