When Sarah Lockridge-Steckel graduated from Harvard College in 2009, she headed to Memphis, Tennessee. There, she co-founded The Collective, a nonprofit that works with schools, businesses, and community groups to provide pathways to opportunities for young people.⠀ ⠀ "My belief in equity and opportunity inspired me to start The Collective in my adopted hometown of Memphis," says Lockridge-Steckel, who worked with Phillips Brooks House during her time at Harvard.
