specialolympicsusa Team Trials for the 2025 World Winter Games in Torino, Italy occurred in Salt Lake City last week. Special Olympics Tennessee nominees in attendance were snowboarder Johnny Kelly of Knoxville, snowboarder Christopher Furches of Upper East TN and speed-skater Madisun Rosier of Williamson County. The athletes met with their coaches, met their potential teammates and participated in practice sessions for their sport. Special Olympics Tennessee was also well-represented with staff member Victoria Mehren serving as Director, Management Team for Special Olympics USA and longtime volunteer Miles Duncan serving as Assistant Snowboarding Coach.
