If you chat with me about fitness for five minutes, I’ll likely talk about barre 🙋🏽‍♀️. I feel like this format sometimes gets a bad rap in the fitness world, but my opinion is that everybody should include it in their workout schedule! Here’s why:
 1. Barre’s foundation comes from physical therapy. Small movements, banded exercises, muscle activation, and stabilization all help prevent injury and are often included in rehab. Doing these as a workout makes it pre- habilitative and can correct imbalances before they cause issues. 2. Because of #1 you become better at all other movement! One of the strongest women I know (👋🏽 Susannah) lifts HEAVY and takes barre regularly because she’s seen it strengthen stabilizing muscles which ultimately has allowed her to push more weight. 3. It is a non-impact form of fitness but is still high intensity.
