Internal and external obliques are responsible for lateral flexion and extension of the spine and trunk rotation. We immediately think of bicycle crunches or standing side bends when thinking of exercises to target obliques, but try side plank with a hip dip, knee pull, or a reach through to get the most bang for your buck.
