For this residency, Zebv is creating a new animated work which will be presented at the sarisarixchange symposium this fall at reelasian and exhibited this winter at Centre[3]. “My animation is a way for me to ask questions like, Can we reinvent the notion of artifacts? What do immigrants of this generation value and what is sought after to be passed down with later generations? How do we turn the mundane into something of value? By reframing the perspective of minorities as the center point of focus, can we disrupt western consumerism, only valuing an object when it is a means of use? How do we find value in the mundane?
