After trekking 7 kilometers through the Colombian jungle in mud up to my ankles 😂 I’m finding a new passion for doing treks like this - it’s so much fun! I would be walking and next thing I knew a monkey was hanging in the tree right next to me. It was a really unique experience, different than a typical hike in my opinion! Tayrona National Park is not this muddy/difficult year round. I went during rainy season right after back to back storms which gave the trail unusual obstacles. It’s definitely worth visiting in rainy or dry season!
