Today we look back on the cross and can find hope because similar to the pandemic we are in today, the cross was meant to create fear. The difference with the cross, however, was that while it was meant to cause fear it was used to awakened faith. The cross was meant to be used by Ceaser but instead, it was used by God. The cross was meant to be used for evil but instead, it was used for good. The cross was meant to be malicious but instead, it became our peace. So just as God turned something as evil as brutal asphyxiation into resurrection life - he can change our situation that looks like death into something that can spring up into life.
So today, on Good Friday, as hope seems just as lost today as it did 2,000 years ago. Let's remember the power of resurrection and that Jesus said: "I Am Resurrection" not "I Will Resurrect." Meaning that resurrection is part of his nature and not a one-time event so just as he did on the cross he can resurrect our story today. We may feel lost b...
