Roger Williamson lost his life at the Dutch Grand Prix, On This Day in 1973. When his March 731 overturned in a crash and caught fire, he was unhurt but trapped, and ill-equipped marshals were unable to approach the burning car to right it. Williamson died of asphyxiation.
