The three of us finally met (in person) for the first time after two years of Zoom meetings as board members for the mjfbrewdistill. There are ten of us, including Garret Oliver, who have been working towards the same goal: to make the brewing industry as diverse as ever. I invited Khristopher Johnson, Owner of greenbenchbrewing and Jorge Garcia, Global Director of Craft Operations at abinbev to join me for the Women’s Forum to talk about open enrollment for our current scholarship round. So far we’ve awarded thirteen full-ride scholarships worth more than $100,000 and we’re determined to keep it going. On top of that we are about to embark on launching a mentorship program too. Something that we expressed the most at the forum was how we will always be here to support the BIPOC community as board members of the foundation.
