I remember walking on the brew floor for the first time and being so damn green. Not knowing how to properly secure a tri-clamp, or build a CIP loop, or what valve to open or close. I remember being so new to everything. I remember being excited and nervous at the same time. I remember all of it. I also remember there only being one of me. Me.🤷🏽♀️
Welp, it’s my turn to teach now and I get to teach someone who started out like I did: washing kegs. Our intern is now in the next phase of her journey in brewing and I get to take part in her growth.
Sofia is young, smart, driven and curious about everything. What’s great about this training is that we speak Spanglish to each other in order to explain what we mean when we’re discussing something she’s learning at the moment.
