I’ve missed connecting with extraordinary humans and shining a light on some things that made us take a closer look at the reality of our industry. “Onwards and upwards” is something I’ve adopted as I continue to navigate the challenges in craft beer. Because for me there’s no other way but up, and in order to get there I have to move past the industry ick. I figured this next phase of the forum would consist of celebrating, empowering, and uniting the women in our industry and women who can relate. We had an internal women’s brew day a few weeks back and to be honest this was the first time I got to hang out with these women without work or life getting in the way. And with that experience I realized how much of a disconnect I had with the women at OH. I didn’t know them because the opportunity was never there to do so.
