When I was first notified of this title I immediately thought this was clearly a mistake. There are so many amazing brewers out there worthy of this award. Why me? I often feel like I am undeserving of such titles because I have been often told that I am undeserving of these opportunities. From past co-workers to previous bosses. This was a behavior I accepted because for the longest time I believed them. Even today I will sometimes whisper to myself, I am not enough. But here I stand, fully accepting of this award because I kept going and because I firmly believe women have the ability to impact this industry in such a powerful way because of how much they been told to stay quiet and thus responding back with a very elegant, “NO, PENDEJO”.
