The Rolls-Royce SMR offers a new approach to delivering nuclear power through a highly modular and factory-built design. Approximately 90% of the manufacturing and assembly occurs in a controlled factory setting, enabling extremely high quality, minimizing on-site disruption, and supporting global rollout.
The compact design occupies roughly one-tenth the footprint of conventional nuclear plants, further shrinking local ecological impacts over nuclea’s already tiny land use. Each 470MW power station can generate low-carbon baseload electricity for at least 60 years, while also supporting green hydrogen and synthetic fuel production.
The factory-built model is designed to be globally scalable to meet rising demand and attract private investment capital through its low-risk, standardized approach.
