End of an Era: Salt, a cornerstone of Cleveland's culinary scene, is closing on Aug. 31. Since its inception in 2016, the restaurant has been at the forefront of the small plates movement, celebrated for its innovative and seasonal menus.
š©āš³ Co-owners Jessica Parkison and chef Jill Vedaa have made a lasting impact, with Vedaa earning James Beard nominations and consistent appearances on 'Best Of' lists. Their approach transformed local dining, introducing 38 unique menus over eight years.
š Reflecting on the journey, Parkison shared, "Salt did all these incredible things... It's time to serve another purpose."
š As Salt prepares to close, the legacy of its influence on Cleveland's food scene and its commitment to quality and staff well-being remains a beacon for the industry. "We have hopefully changed a little bit of the culture, dining experience, and brought you the best we could for the last eight years," the post read, "but as they say change is inevitable."
