Waiting in line for flapjacks, looked to my left and saw this row of Vanagons, homes of vegabonds. They had gotten a head-start on their own breakfast, the steam from their stoves rising through the pines. It was my second morning at Descend on Bend, and the early morning energy of the camp was exhilarating albeit a bit lethargic. Recovering from the concert on the previous night, the campers roamed slowly in the bright morning light, greeting each other with gratitude.
