#ad Today I am so excited to be a part of an International Mac & Cheese Cookoff organized by iloveimportedcheese . I am creating a gourmet mac & cheese with pears and Roquefort cheese. I am representing France with Roquefort cheese and I hope I will win. We are big cheese lovers in our family, especially my husband. Long story short we both spent 5 years in Paris right after school, we got engaged and married there. Plus, my daughter was born in France. Thus, we are really attached to France their cheeses, wine, and baguettes. You can say somehow, we are a good connoisseur of French cheeses.
A little history about Roquefort cheese. It’s made with raw sheep milk, and it’s aged in the natural caves of Roquefort-Sur-Soulzon where the name comes from. It’s very popular in France and it’s also called the 'cheese of kings and popes'. It’s known for its very creamy texture, yet salty, sharp, and tangy. You can imagine that this pear and Roquefort combo work...
