As we celebrate today’s feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola, here is a look at our new statue of St. Ignatius, located in front of the Blue Doors.
The statue is a gift of the Class of 1973, which chose to dedicate its Golden Jubilee 50th Reunion Class Gift towards a statue of St. Ignatius, the founder of the Society of Jesus. The class exceeded its goal in raising more than $90,000 for its Class Gift.
The statue is a physical reminder for everyone who spends time on campus of our call to be Men and Women For and With Others, and to Pursue Excellence in our daily lives.
