Black Philanthropy Month, #BPM2024CLT, is Charlotte’s localized celebration of Black Philanthropy Month - a collaborative initiative led by ngaap_charlotte to celebrate Black giving in Charlotte-Mecklenburg. Did you know CCT became a Black-led #nonprofit in 2020, the first in the agency’s fifty year history! Celebrated annually in August, Black Philanthropy Month was created in 2011 by Dr. Jackie Bouvier Copeland and the Pan-African Women’s #Philanthropy Network as an annual global celebration of African-descent giving. Did you know that across all CCT programs, over 85% participants self-identify as Black/African-American?
