And when they were shut, we started saying “When one door closes, go through the window.” At Zareh, a high-end men’s retailer in Boston, we couldn’t even get in through the window! No matter how many times we tried to convince the owner to give our ties a try, he wouldn’t budge.⁣ ⁣ On our last attempt—having failed yet again—we noticed a backgammon table in the corner, which led Shep to propose a bet: if we lost the game, we’d never bother him again; but if we won, he’d give our ties a try.
