My client is no stranger to color. We've done everything from blue to pink and in-between. For over a year, we've been doing red, pinks, and oranges. I suggested we do blonde which is a color she's never tried before. Although she'd grown out her highlights for a year, all of the red, pink, and orange showed up when we went to highlight. I used matrix SoColor Cult remover on only the freshly lightened areas to remove most of the red and pink. Afterwards, I told her she would be a lot warmer than where we were headed, but we could get there in future visits. We toned with Tonal Control 9nCV for a caramel finish, and low and behold, next visit no toner, no other additional color, her hair was exactly what we were aiming for! This could have been...
