Oregon is experiencing a spike in COVID-19 cases this summer, according to the Oregon Health Authority.
While summer is a typical time of year for a surge, this season’s upswing is higher than last year, health authority statistics show.
“A lot of us probably know someone in the past weeks who had COVID,” said Oregon’s top health officer, Dr. Dean Sidelinger.
Oregon’s increase started in late April, according to the health authority.
