Don’t Get a ‘Hang-Over’ … Keep your body weight evenly distributed - not on the toes!
To create a functional golf swing that creates consistent contact, you must set up properly. Two setup keys play a huge role in functional motion; arm hang, and weight distribution. When you set up to the ball, you want your weight evenly distributed between the balls of your feet, and your heels. The weight should feel like it’s in your arches, not toward the toes. This will allow you to rotate fully in the backswing. From there, allow your arms to extend away from you slightly. I prefer to see your hands under your chin at setup. These setup keys allow you to take the club away on a plane, and in sync with your body motion.
