When the greens get fast like they do at the Masters, you need a high, soft pitch shot to get the ball up and down. To stop your ball on fast greens, you need trajectory for the height, and spin for the softness. To do this, the club head needs to travel along the ground for a long period of time. Add width in the backswing to help shallow out the angle of attack. In the downswing, "chuck" the club head under the ball to add loft, and add spin! When you throw that club head under the ball, make sure to keep the face open, and the club will just slide along the ground.
