“If you're at the bottom of the barrel, the only way is to get up. Always remember, no matter what we go through in life, we're much stronger than we think we are.” - hellahgood9   Despite facing debilitating blisters on his feet around mile 35 and an Achilles flare up at mile 41, Hellah Sidibe met his goal of pressing forward no matter the circumstances wser. With his crew running alongside him until the home stretch, the former professional soccer player threw up his arms in a wingspan, flying through the finish line in 27 hours, 29 minutes, and 53 seconds to complete an arduous journey from Olympic Valley to Auburn, California.     Hellah is one of many ultra runners whose resilience and determination in the face of massive challenge exemplifies why Western States is a must-see event.
